We're concerned to learn of recent reports of guests falling ill while on holiday at the Hotel Riu Cancun in Mexico between January and June 2016.
Despite positive reviews of the resort online, our International Personal Injury team has also become aware that some guests suffered from gastric symptoms during their stay there. One tourist claims that some of the food - such as bacon - was "undercooked" and that they saw "mould on bread". Another claims that the food tasted of "cleaning solution". Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know first-hand the potential long term effects it can cause, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
