Iberostar Hotel, Cancun
The International Travel Litigation team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned to hear about a breakout of E-coli after guests fell ill at the Iberostar Hotel, Cancun in Mexico.
It has been reported that holidaymakers have suffered from ‘severe’ E-coli following their stay at the hotel. It has also been reported that other holidaymakers were seen being ill and suffering from symptoms such as vomiting. The lack of cleanliness at the hotel has also been raised by holidaymakers who report that the ‘pools were filled with babies with diapers’ and the glasses were reused ‘without being washed.’ The outbreak of gastric illness calls into question the health and hygiene practices at the hotel and raises concerns about the adequacy of their cleaning practices.
