Riu Palace, Mexico

The International Travel Litigation team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned for holidaymakers after reading reports of illness amongst guests staying at the Riu Palace, Mexico during their holidays in May 2012.
It is reported that holidaymakers staying at the hotel had fallen ill with symptoms of gastric illness. Symptoms of gastric illness usually include diarrhoea, stomach cramps, vomiting and fever. It is possible that the illnesses experienced by holidaymakers may have been due to a breakdown in food handling and food hygiene procedures as Irwin Mitchell has read reports from holidaymakers who have suggested that there could have been a possible cross contamination issue at the hotel whereby cutting boards were not cleaned before new food was placed onto it.

Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness or sustained an injury whilst staying at the Riu Palace Mexico.
