Riu Palace Mexico, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico – October 2011

Irwin Mitchell has received reports of illness amongst holidaymakers staying at the Riu Palace Mexico, Playa Del Carmen, in Mexico during holidays taken in October 2011.

It has been suggested that there was an awful smell throughout the resort which was unbearable. The smell was also noticed in the restaurant and would allegedly keep holidaymakers awake at night. It has also been alleged that a holidaymaker fell ill with suspected food poisoning after eating at one of the hotel’s restaurants. He was ill for most of the holiday and has had to seek medical attention upon return to the UK.

The International Travel Litigation Team are particularly concerned after acting for clients who fell ill at this hotel previously in 2008, suggesting that lessons have not been learned.

If you also travelled to this hotel and suffered from gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim for your ruined holiday, and also, the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you sustained.
