Irwin Mitchell is concerned for holidaymakers after reading reports of illness amongst guests staying at the Royal Solaris, Cancun during June 2012.

It has been reported that the food served at the hotel was cold and covered in flies. Pigeons and cats were also reportedly seen in the restaurant, helping themselves to the food on the buffet. Cockroaches were also seen in the restaurant.

It is believed that the illness contracted by guests, causing some to seek medical attention, may have been food poisoning contracted as a possible breakdown in food handling and hygiene procedures.
