Royal Solaris Los Cabos, 2017

The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned by recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Royal Solaris Los Cabos in Mexico between April and August 2017.

Despite positive reviews of the resort online, Irwin Mitchell have seen reports of holidaymakers who fell ill during a stay at the hotel.

One holidaymaker claims that on one occasion they were served burgers that were “pink” and on another “undercooked eggs”. There are also claims that there were “birds flying in and literally landing on the food picking at it”. Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms - one guest reports their wife falling ill and spending 2 days in hospital with a salmonella diagnosis.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness Irwin Mitchell know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you have also travelled to the Royal Solaris Los Cabos in Mexico and have subsequently fallen ill, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
