Sandos Caracol Resort

Irwin Mitchell has received reports of holidaymakers who suffered illness during their stay at the Sandos Caracol Resort, Mexico, in July 2015.

The tourists reported suffering with symptoms to include stomach cramps, diarrhoea and sickness during their holiday in July this year. This impacted upon the enjoyment of their holiday as they felt too ill to enjoy all the facilities on offer.

Despite a number of positive reviews, the couple report that on occasions food appeared re-heated and sometimes food did not appear hot enough. The holidaymakers also report seeing cats inside and outside the restaurant. 

The guests also report that the hotel swimming pool was closed for 24 hours due to faeces in the water. The couple have advised that upon returning home they sought medical advice because of how ill they both felt.  

Both holidaymakers continue to suffer with diarrhoea and severe stomach cramps. One of the guests has been off work since her return home due to her continuing symptoms.
