Sensatori Hotel, Mexico

Irwin Mitchell has by a number of holidaymakers staying at the Sensatori Hotel in July 2011 and again in January 2012 who have returned from their holidays complaining of severe gastric illnesses. 

Reports suggest that guests have been suffering with diarrhoea, abdominal pain and vomiting allegedly as a result of the poor standards of food hygiene at the hotel.  

It is alarming to learn that such problems continue at the hotel as we have instructed by holidaymakers who travelled to the resort in 2010, with the more recent reports suggesting that holidaymakers have contracted serious bacterial infections as a result of a breakdown in food hygiene procedures. Such infections can leave permanent symptoms including an alteration of bowel habit, stomach pains and irritable bowel syndrome. 

Reports indicate that the cause of the gastric illnesses may have been due to the poor quality of food and lack of hygiene standards practised at the hotel with reports of insects around food serving stations. In particular, the holidaymakers have reported that food was served undercooked and recycled food was displayed uncovered for long periods of time. It is reported that guests suffered from symptoms including violent diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps.
