We're concerned to learn about guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Sensatori Resort, Mexico in July 2016.
Our International Personal Injury team have been contacted by a family of three who travelled to the resort and developed severe diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal cramps and lethargy during their holiday. The holidaymakers noted that the food was often of a poor quality with some dishes served undercooked or not kept at an adequate temperature.
They also advised that the pool area was at times unclean; the toilets often smelled offensive; and the glasses at the pool bar were sometimes not cleaned properly. In addition, the family had problems with their accommodation and reported that some of the bathroom facilities were unusable.
Certain members of the family are still suffering with their symptoms and have had to seek medical attention on their return to the UK.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know first-hand the potential long term conditions that can be associated with it, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
