Iberostar Bellevue Hotel, Montenegro
Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by holidaymakers who suffered illness following their stays at the Iberostar Bellevue Hotel, in Budva-Becici, Montenegro, in May 2015.
Guests have reported that they suffered with symptoms including diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy, lack of appetite and abdominal pains. They were also aware of other guests at the same hotel suffering with similar symptoms.
Holidaymakers highlighted a number of problems relating to the hotel’s restaurant. They reported that sometimes fresh food seemed to be added to existing dishes and that food was at times served at the wrong temperature. Visitors have also stated that a lot of the food was not covered and often appeared to have been reheated, being served on more than one occasion. Reports suggest that the cutlery, crockery, table linen and glasses were sometimes dirty. On one occasion holidaymakers noticed that the staff seemed to use the same utensils for hot and cold food.
