The International Travel Litigation Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned for holidaymakers after receiving reports of illness at the Caribbean Village Agador in Morocco.
Holidaymakers have reported that the food served in the hotel was bland and repetitive and not served piping hot as well as describing it as ‘poor’ and ‘disgusting’, with a number of guests suffering from symptoms of illness including diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps.
We are investigating the possibility that the illnesses experienced by holidaymakers were caused by a breakdown in food handling and food hygiene procedures. There has been a report of hotel staff serving food with their bare hands, with birds flying in the hotel and flies landing on food as well as hotel staff reportedly washing their feet in hand-washing sinks used by guests.
