WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY
"The team has so many contacts with foreign insurers and so many people with foreign languages that it is miles ahead of others."

Sonesta Ocean Point Resort, 2016
We’re concerned to hear recent reports of guests falling ill while on holiday taken at the Sonesta Ocean Point Resort in St Maarten during February and March 2016.
Despite some positive reviews online, we’ve also heard about guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during their stay at the hotel. One holidaymaker who became ill themselves also claims that even the “staff were going home sick”.
Another tourist reports how four in their party fell ill within 48 hours of arrival and were confined to their rooms with fever, chills, headaches, vomiting, diarrhoea and dehydration.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday. We’re very aware of the complications that can develop because of such illness, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The effects can sometimes develop into a problem that is long-term, or even permanent.
If you also travelled to the Sonesta Ocean Point Resort in St Maarten and have subsequently been ill, we’d like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases like this and can advise you on claiming compensation for your trip.
For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact Irwin Mitchell on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
