Protea Hotel, Balalaika Sandton

Irwin Mitchell has recently received reports that guests of the Protea Hotel, Balalaika Sandton, in South Africa are contracting symptoms of gastric illness, allegedly as a result of the food provided at the hotel.

A recent guest report relating to May 2011 describes how they fell ill with symptoms of gastric illness, including symptoms of vomiting, fever and 'stomach issues'. Coincidentally, they report how they fell ill after staying at the same hotel in January 2011.

Whilst the service at the hotel is rated as good and the hotel is considered to be a top class business travel hotel, there are concerns as to the lack of food hygiene procedures practiced at the hotel, which may have caused guests to experience such symptoms.

Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness after staying at this hotel.
