Irwin Mitchell is concerned for holidaymakers who have recently holidayed at the Barcelo Santiago Hotel in Tenerife, Spain after reading reports that holidaymakers staying at the hotel in July 2011 contracted symptoms of food poisoning.
Irwin Mitchell are worried for holidaymakers after being contacted by disappointed holidaymakers who travelled to the Hotel in October 2010, who suffered from similar symptoms of gastric illness.
Reports state that holidaymakers began to suffer from symptoms of diarrhoea and sickness a number of days into their holidays. It has been suggested that the illness suffered by holidaymakers may have been caused by an infection which was sweeping the hotel during the time of their holiday, additionally; complaints are made in relation to the food served by the hotel, suggesting that the food was repetitive. The illnesses contracted may therefore be as a result of the poor quality of food and food hygiene standards at the hotel.
