Family Life Orquidea, 2016

Our International Personal Injury team is concerned to see recent reports of guests falling ill while on holiday at the Family Life Orquidea in Spain between August and October 2016.

Despite some positive reviews of the hotel online, the team has also learnt that some tourists developed gastric symptoms during their stay there. One holidaymaker claims that the food was decidedly sub-standard. In their words, the meals included: "stale breads, cold mains, salads that had been out so long the cucumber was dried out and the salad leaves were going brown". Another guest was horrified to find the pool "cold with all scum blowing around the edge".

Poor hygiene standards are frequently the cause of holidaymakers contracting painful gastric symptoms in hotels and holiday resorts such as the Family Life Orquidea. Symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have considerable experience assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, so we know the long term effects it can cause, including permanent complications such as post-infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you also suffered illness at the Family Life Orquidea in Spain, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with these cases and can advise you on making a claim.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
