Hotel Lopez Paradise Island, 2016

Irwin Mitchell have been contacted by a party of British holidaymakers who travelled to the Hotel Lopez Paradise Island, Spain on an all inclusive basis in December 2016.

Five of the holidaymakers experienced gastric symptoms which included vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and dehydration.

The holidaymakers have said that they saw the chefs using the same utensils to put raw meat on the cooker and cooked meat onto the buffet. They also stated that food was not cooked properly and was lukewarm. The holidaymakers also said there were a significant amount of insects in the rooms.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in the stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post-infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you have travelled to the Hotel Lopez Paradise Island and subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness or sustained an injury, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
