Magic Cristal Park, Benidorm - 2016
We’re concerned to receive reports of gastric illness from guests staying at the Magic Cristal Park in Benidorm in March 2016.
The holidaymakers report that almost every member of their party fell ill while on holiday at the hotel – among them, a child. Our International Personal Injury has been contacted by a number of tourists who say they suffered from diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea, and stomach pains. Some continue to suffer symptoms even after returning home to the UK.
Although the hotel has had some positive reviews online, some holidaymakers have raised concerns about the “terrible” food and commented that on occasions the food was undercooked, including fish and pork. They were also worried to see that cutlery and crockery in the restaurant was sometimes dirty and that food was served uncovered.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday. We’re very aware of the complications that can develop because of such illness, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The effects can sometimes develop into a problem that is long-term, or even permanent.
If you also travelled to the Magic Cristal Park in Benidorm and have subsequently been ill, we’d like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases like this and can advise you on claiming compensation for your trip.
