Reports Of Illness At Spring Arona Gran Hotel, Los Cristianos, Tenerife
Irwin Mitchell is alarmed for holidaymakers after receiving reports of gastric illness amongst guest staying at the Spring Arona Gran Hotel, in Los Cristianos, Tenerife. Reports of illness relate to holidays taken at the hotel in March 2011.
Reports have suggested that holidaymakers staying at the Spring Arona Gran Hotel have fallen ill with symptoms of gastric illness, experiencing symptoms such as diarrhoea and sickness. It has also been suggested that guests witnessed episodes of poor hygiene whilst staying at the Spring Arona Gran Hotel, which may have resulted in guests falling ill. One holidaymaker has recalled how they saw a chef mixing raw and cooked meats such as turkey, then frying the turkey for a very short period before passing it to guests to eat.
It may be that the alleged lack of food hygiene and food handling procedures could have resulted in holidaymakers contracting the illness. It is reported that the alleged illness caused holidaymakers to be confined to their beds and required them to buy medication whilst in resort.
It has also been suggested that there was unidentified white debris floating in the children's and adult swimming pools which deterred guests from using the pools.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
