Sandals Grande St Lucian Spa Beach Resort, Rodney Bay, St Lucia
Irwin Mitchell has recently received reports that holidaymakers are returning from their holidays at the Sandals Grande St Lucian Spa Beach Resort, Rodney Bay, in Lucia, during May 2011 suffering from symptoms of gastric illness.
One holidaymaker has reported that the food provided at the hotel was poor, particularly the food provided in the main restaurant. It has also been suggested that the food was of poor quality, with the meat being overly tough and salty. The fish dishes have also been said to be very dry and, upon complaining, guests are being told that the food is shipped in and does not cope with the temperature change, suggesting that the food is not fresh.
It is suggested that as a possible result of the poor quality of food and lack of hygiene standards practiced at the hotel, guests are falling ill with symptoms of gastric illness, including vomiting. Other symptoms usually experienced will be stomach cramps, vomiting and lethargy.
Additionally, it is reported that parts of the hotel are poorly maintained. The swimming pool has been described as green and in need of a clean.
Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness after staying at this hotel.
