Bluebay Beach Hotel, Zanzibar - 2016
Our International Personal Injury team has been instructed by holidaymakers who suffered gastric illness after a stay at the Bluebay Beach Resort in Zanzibar, Tanzania, during June 2016. Their symptoms included diarrhoea, sickness, loss of appetite and abdominal pain.
Despite some positive reviews of the hotel online, we're aware that some holidaymakers felt their stay at the Bluebay Beach Resort was substandard. Some guests have reported that much of the food served in the hotel restaurant was limited and appeared to be served on more than one occasion. It was also reported that food was left uncovered for long periods of time.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in the stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post Infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
If you have also travelled to the Bluebay Beach Resort in Zanzibar and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness or sustained an injury, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and could help you claim compensation.
For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact our travel litigation team on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
