Daphne Club Hotel, 2015
Specialist international personal injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell have been instructed by a couple following their stay at the Daphne Club Hotel, in Tunisia, in June 2015.
The couple travelled to the hotel in Tunisia for a relaxing holiday but sadly both began to suffer from symptoms of illness just a couple of days into their trip. They experienced symptoms including diarrhoea and vomiting. The on-site doctor was called and he administered an injection to help one of the holidaymakers with his symptoms.
The guests noticed that some of the food was occasionally undercooked, with the chicken sometimes being pink inside and occasionally the food being left uncovered for long periods. Flies were also frequently seen in the restaurant area.
Jatinder Paul, a solicitor at Irwin Mitchell, said: “Our clients’ holidays were ruined due to gastric illness and this time will now be remembered for all of the wrong reasons.
“They both continue to suffer with on-going symptoms as a result. We will be conducting our own investigations in to our clients’ illness and suggest that the hotel management take similar steps.”

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
