Irwin Mitchell, leading travel law experts, are investigating claims of gastric illness after being asked by a number of holidaymakers who went on holiday to the Hammamet Azur Plaza, Hammamet, Tunisia in July to August 2012.

The holidaymakers report suffering from gastric symptoms including diarrhoea and vomiting.

The holidaymakers have complained that they had a number of concerns about the Hotel, to include; some food in the Hotel restaurant appeared to be reheated and was left uncovered. They have also reported how they noticed that some of the chicken they tried was undercooked and appeared pink. The holidaymakers have reported that serving spoons were not set out for holidaymakers to use to serve themselves and as such some guests were using the cutlery on their tables and in some cases their hands to handle food with no supervision from the restaurant staff. One holidaymaker has reported that he witnessed a member of the restaurant staff picking up a piece of chicken from the floor and placed it back on the serving tray.
