Irwin Mitchell are concerned to read reports of illness amongst holidaymakers who have stayed at the Iberostar Chich Khan Hotel in Tunisia in August 2013.
Despite a number of positive reviews, there have been reports of holidaymakers falling ill with symptoms such as sickness, diarrhoea, fever and stomach cramps.
Reports suggest that many holidaymakers were hospitalised during their stay as a result of their illnesses and some have continued to suffer from their illnesses following their return to the UK.
One holidaymaker has reported how their brother-in-law developed stomach ache and an upset stomach. Another reports how both they and their mother fell ill and another visitor reported how they had to stay in bed due to the illness suffered.
Irwin Mitchell have previously acted for clients who also fell ill during their stay at this hotel in 2010. Celebrating his partner 60th birthday on his first holiday abroad, Martin from Edinburgh began to suffer severe stomach cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting, which continued long after he returned to the UK, where he was diagnosed with Salmonella.
Following his diagnosis, he turned to travel law experts at Irwin Mitchell for help who secured an admission of liability from the tour giant.
