Irwin Mitchell’s leading travel litigation group have received reports of holidaymakers suffering from illness during their stay at the Oman Khayam Hotel in Tunisia in September 2013.
One holidaymaker has reported how each member of their group had suffered from diarrhoea. Another holidaymaker has reported that most of their party had upset stomachs, with four of them suffering from sickness.
Despite a number of positive reviews, other holidaymakers have reported that the dining room was unclean and there were flies seen buzzing around the food. Guests reported that the floor in the dining room was not cleaned and the tables were on occasions also dirty.
It was also observed by holidaymakers on occasion that hotel staff had handled some raw and cooked meats without washing their hands. Further complaints include that the area around the pool was being cleaned using pool water and dirty mops.
