Irwin Mitchell has been approached by two holidaymakers who fell ill following their stay at the Thalassa Hotel in Tunisia in October 2012.
The 2 holidaymakers travelled as part of a larger party in order to celebrate a 50th birthday. Several members of the group formed a group action in 2013 and many of these holidaymakers have now achieved settlement.
Complaints made by the couple include that some of the facilities at the hotel were unclean, some of the staff were rude and unhelpful and some of the food served was undercooked. Further reports suggest that the holidaymakers fell ill with gastric symptoms and subsequently their holiday was ruined. This is not the first time that Irwin Mitchell has received reports of illness at this hotel, as we successfully recovered a five-figure settlement for another group of holidaymakers who suffered illness here in 2009.
