Club Hotel Pineta, 2015
Specialist international personal injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell have been instructed by a couple following their stay at the Club Hotel Pineta in Marmaris in June 2015.
The couple travelled to the hotel in Turkey for their annual summer holiday but they were soon struck by illness, suffering from severe stomach cramps and diarrhoea. One of the pair also experienced further symptoms of passing blood, vomiting and nausea.
The symptoms of this client continued on his return home and he received medical treatment at Wigan Hospital. The holidaymakers have reported that some of the food in the hotel was left uncovered for long periods of time. On one occasion, one of the couple picked up some chicken from the buffet and a fly crawled out of it. Some of the food was served lukewarm and sometimes the same food served at lunch was reheated and served again in the evening.
Jatinder Paul, an international personal injury specialist at Irwin Mitchell, said: “This was planned as a relaxing holiday for the couple but has resulted in serious illness. As a result their holiday plans have been ruined.
“We will now be conducting our own investigations into the cause of our client’s illness and we would encourage the hotel to take similar steps.”
If you have also travelled to the Club Hotel Pineta in Turkey and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, or sustained an injury, we would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
