Irwin Mitchell has been instructed by holidaymakers who have suffered illness during an all inclusive holiday at the Ephesus Princess Hotel in Kusadasi, Turkey in August 2013. The holidays were booked with Thomas Cook.
One family of holidaymakers suffered a very unpleasant gastric illness, including symptoms of diarrhoea and stomach cramps whilst on holiday. The youngest daughter had to be taken into hospital for treatment. On return to the UK the family are continuing to experience symptoms. Another family reported that a holiday booked to celebrate a 30th birthday was spoilt by illness during their stay at the hotel.
Despite some positive reports some holidaymakers have complained about the quality of the food and the smell of sewage in some areas of the hotel. One holidaymaker reported ordering chicken kebabs which they sent back to the kitchen as it was cold in the middle. Other holidaymakers who stayed at the hotel this summer described the restaurant at the hotel to be “dirty, chaotic and oversubscribed” and others described the food as “luke warm” and “inedible".
