Irwin Mitchell’s International Personal Injury team has been instructed by a holidaymaker following his stay at the Lykia World, Turkey, in April 2015.
The holidaymaker travelled to the hotel in Turkey for a relaxing break but just a few days into his holiday, he started to suffer with breathing problems. As a result suffered a lung infection. The man was admitted to hospital for three days whilst he was in Turkey and since his return to the UK he continues to suffer from the after effects of the illness. He has since had to visit his GP for additional treatment.
Jatinder Paul, a solicitor at Irwin Mitchell, said: “Our client’s holiday was ruined due to illness and will now be remembered for all of the wrong reasons.
“We will now investigate his claim but it is concerning to hear of these reports of illness as it is not the first time we have represented holidaymakers returning from this resort. We successfully concluded dozens of claims relating to holidays taken in 2010 and we continue to represent clients who travelled in 2014.”
