Telmessos Hotel, Turkey

Irwin Mitchell have received reports from a holidaymaker who became ill after travelling to the Telmessos Hotel, in Fethiye in Turkey on an all inclusive basis in October 2013.

Despite some positive reviews, a number of holidaymakers have reported that they have suffered from illnesses during holidays taken at the hotel.

One holidaymaker who travelled to the hotel reported that they had been advised by their GP that they had contracted Campylobacter. Campylobacter is a bacterial cause of infectious intestinal disease that can be contracted by the consumption of contaminated food or drink. This can cause symptoms including diarrhoea and stomach cramps, which in turn can lead to the development of longer term symptoms including irritable bowel syndrome.

Some holidaymakers have complained about the food, describing that some dishes were “cold” and “hygiene that is questionable”. Some holidaymakers have raised concerns over the general cleanliness of the bedrooms.

If you also travelled to this hotel and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness after staying at this hotel.
