ANC Conference, Newcastle
The International Travel Litigation Team at Irwin Mitchell, which specialises in cases of food poisoning in the UK and abroad, is concerned for delegates who attended the ANC conference in Newcastle.
Reports suggest that it is estimated that between 60 to 80 people had to be treated at a clinic, set up at the conference venue, for symptoms such as diarrhoea and stomach cramps.
The source of the outbreak has not yet been identified. Reports suggest some have blamed the illnesses experienced by delegates on the tripe that was served for lunch or beef which was cooked for delegates. According to reports there had been a delay in how long the meat had to be kept hot before delegates could dine.
If you have suffered from gastric illness at this Conference Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim for the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you sustained.
