Heathlands Hotel, Bournemouth

The International Travel Litigation team at Irwin Mitchell, which specialises in cases of food poisoning in the UK and abroad, has been contacted by a British holidaymaker after their return from a holiday to the Heathlands Hotel in Bournemouth.

During her stay at the Hotel she became ill with symptoms which included diarrhoea and sickness. As many as 21 other guests were reported to have suffered from similar symptoms. 

Heathlands Hotel is reported to have been closed for a second time, in just a few weeks, after it had been reported that 9 more people caught a sickness bug.  

It is possible that the illnesses experienced by holidaymakers were due to a breakdown hygiene procedures, as well as a failure to prevent and maintain the spread of illness amongst holidaymakers.
