Northampton Water Supply Contaminated with Cryptosporidium
Reports have been received of the local water supply in Northampton becoming contaminated with the waterborne parasite Cryptosporidium.
It has been reported that some supermarkets have ran out of bottled water because of panic buying and residents have been advised the boil tap water before drinking it.
Cryptosporidium can cause symptoms such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain and vomiting and anyone affected should seek medical attention.
We have successfully recovered compensation for clients who contracted cryptosporidium from a local water supply in North Wales in 2005.
