Sainsbury's Supermarket, Frankley, Birmingham
Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by a concerned consumer who suffered symptoms of bloody diarrhoea in April 2014.
The consumer was contacted by Sainsbury’s after purchasing sultanas which he had already consumed, advising that the product had been recalled from sale and should be returned to the store. The consumer, who ate the sultanas with his breakfast porridge, started to feel unwell about three weeks ago and is concerned that the cause may be the sultanas he consumed. He has had to undergone an uncomfortable internal exam and has also been prescribed antibiotics.
Irwin Mitchell regularly represents clients who have contracted an illness or injury as a result of defective products.
