Todber Valley Caravan Park, Clitheroe, 2016

We're concerned to learn about guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Todber Valley Caravan Park, Clitheroe in July 2016.

Our Public Health team has been contacted by a young couple who travelled to the caravan park, one of whom developed severe diarrhoea and nausea during their stay.

The holidaymakers reported that the caravan was in a very poor state when they arrived. They complained that the caravan at times smelled offensive, that there was dirt and grease marks over the surfaces of the caravan and that the bathroom contained hair and stains.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know first-hand the potential long term conditions that can be associated with it, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

If you have also travelled to the Todber Valley Caravan Park and subsequently suffered symptoms of illness, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and could help you claim compensation.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
