Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa
Irwin Mitchell’s International Personal Injury team has been approached to act on behalf on a Scottish holidaymaker and her family after she became ill whilst suffering at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort and Spa in Jumeirah Beach, Dubai.
The group visited the resort in October 2015 and the Scottish woman had to be admitted to hospital, reporting to us that she was later diagnosed with Legionnaire’s disease when she returned home. The woman continues to struggle with ongoing symptoms including fatigue and shortness of breath.
Despite some positive reviews, guests have complained that the rooms at the hotel had a damp smell. The family also suggested that the air conditioning unit in the room looked old and dated.
