British student Injured Whilst Skiing in France

We are acting on behalf of a British student who was injured whilst skiing in Val Thorens, France with friends from university.

Our client booked his skiing trip through his university and was away for one week in December 2009.  He was making his way to his skiing lesson when he was suddenly hit from behind by another skier.  Our client was immediately knocked unconscious and suffered a fracture to his left leg and extensive bruising to his back.  The skier who collided with him was Dutch.

Our client was treated in hospital in France and on his return to England.

We were instructed to pursue a claim against the insurers of the Dutch skier in February 2010.  We are pursuing the claim in England and are currently gathering all the evidence we need to prove all our client’s losses.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
