Irwin Mitchell instructed following catastrophic paragliding accident

We are currently acting for a woman who was catastrophically injured whilst paragliding in South Africa.

Soon after she had taken off (she was in a harness with a pilot), her glider crash landed.  She severely injured her spinal cord, causing her to be paralysed in the bottom half of her body, and lose the use of her legs. We are pursuing a claim against the pilot, his employers and the paragliding regulatory authorities in South Africa for the recovery of compensation which is badly needed in order to help pay for her care and the adaptations that are needed to her house. The pilot and the other Defendants are denying liability.

The case is proceeding through the courts in South Africa and we are expecting a trial date in the early part of 2012.
