£4,325 for Ankle Injury in Turkey
Irwin Mitchell represented a lady from Grimsby, in respect of injuries sustained following an accident she suffered on a First Choice Holiday at the Limak Limra Hotel in Turkey in 2010.
Our client had been sunbathing around the pool area at the hotel, she stood up from the sun lounger and walked across a grassed area. As she did this, she hit her foot off a tent peg which had been left sticking up out of the ground, about 4 inches high.
As a result of the accident, our client suffered ligament damage and a very bad sprain to her left ankle. Our client suffered with ongoing symptoms with painful bruising and swelling.
Irwin Mitchell pursued a claim against the Tour Operator under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992. Despite failing to admit liability for the accident, Irwin Mitchell managed to successfully secure £4,325 in compensation.
