Fall on Stairway in Apartment in Crete
Irwin Mitchell Solicitors are acting for a woman from Cambridge in bringing a claim against her tour operator, Libra Holidays, after she fell down an unlit stairway leading from her holiday apartment, fracturing her wrist.
Fay Ludman was on holiday with her daughter at the Villa Tonia Apartments, Gouves, Crete in June 2006. As she walked down an unlit flight of stairs which led from her apartment block to the poolside bar, she fell onto her left arm, fracturing her left wrist.
Mrs Ludman was taken to hospital the following morning and her wrist was manipulated and put into a plaster cast. She was in considerable pain for the remainder of the holiday. Her holiday was completely ruined.
Mrs Ludman still suffers with pain in her wrist despite extensive medical treatment. Her wrist is still painful, aches, is swollen and is much weaker.
Libra holidays have admitted liability for Mrs Ludman’s injury and negotiations are ongoing to settle Mrs Ludman’s claim.
