Royal Park Hotel
Irwin Mitchell acted for 21 holidaymakers who stayed during their holidays at the Royal Park Hotel in Bulgaria in September and October 2005. As a result of failures in food hygiene standards at the hotel every single one of them fell ill. Fortunately most of them recovered within 6 weeks, but one person developed Irritable Bowel Syndrome as a direct consequence of his holiday illness.
Following negotiations between the parties, Irwin Mitchell was able to achieve settlements totalling over £43,000 on behalf of the group. The Defendant tour operator also agreed to pay the holidaymakers’ legal costs.
