Irritable Bowel Syndrome Contracted at Hotel
Client A and Client B went for a relaxing break to the Ascos Coral Beach Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus. During the first week of the holiday they both fell ill suffering from symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhoea and a loss of appetite. The clients had noticed that a number of guests were complaining of similar problems. Both clients were still unwell upon returning to the UK and continue to suffer from the illness to the present day.
Despite initially denying liability, First Choice Holidays and Flights Limited later admitted liability after the issue and service of formal legal proceedings and Irwin Mitchell negotiated settlement of their claims.
Client A and B have been diagnosed with mild Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the foreseeable future.
After making a claim, they received almost £20,000.00 in compensation.
