Aqua Blu Hotel, Sharm El Sheik, Egypt 2013

Irwin Mitchell has received reports from holidaymakers who became ill after recently travelling to Aqua Blu Hotel in Egypt in August 2013.
Despite some positive reviews, recent reports from guests who stayed at the hotel in August suggest that holidaymakers have suffered from symptoms of diarrhoea following their stay at the hotel on an all inclusive basis.
One such holidaymaker had to seek treatment from the doctor in the resort and was placed on a drip because she was dehydrated. She has continued to suffer from symptoms on return to the UK. The group of holidaymakers who were celebrating a birthday have reported that they could not take full advantage of the facilities on offer at the resort because of their illness.

The family reported concerns about the cleanliness of the hotel, claiming the rooms were not adequately cleaned. They reported that the food provided at breakfast appeared to have been re-served and re-heated and then served again at lunchtime.

Food was also left out for long periods of time and new food was added to food that was already left out for guests. In the restaurant area, birds were seen landing on tables which had been laid out for guests to dine at.
