Up To 100 Holidaymakers Affected By Illness Outbreak At Coral Sea Water World

Around 100 people are reported to have suffered gastric illness during their stay at the Coral Sea Water World in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt.

Several holidaymakers at the four-star resort are said to have received medical treatment for their symptoms and given intravenous drips in their hotel rooms. Victims are said to have been reporting symptoms such as sickness and diarrhoea.

It has been reported that some of the victims at the Coral Sea Water World resort have been diagnosed with Shigella. In the UK most cases of Shigella are associated with foreign travel and often acquired by drinking water contaminated with human faeces, or by eating food washed with contaminated water.

Reports suggest that the resort has now drafted in additional medical practitioners to treat the victims.

If you have travelled to this resort recently and suffered from similar gastric illnesses, you may be able to claim compensation for any pain and suffering caused.
