Coral Sea Water World, 2013

Specialist international personal injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell have been instructed by a family following their week-long stay at Coral Sea Water World in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, in October and November 2013.

The family of three travelled to Egypt as a honeymoon, taking their daughter with them. Two members of the family were struck by illness towards the end of their holiday, suffering with diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

A few days after their return to the UK, one of the family started to feel unwell and completely lost her appetite. She started to suffer with severe abdominal pain and as a result was hospitalised for four days. The doctors at the hospital reportedly diagnosed the holidaymaker with salmonella which was contracted at the hotel.

Jatinder Paul, an international personal injury expert, said: “This was supposed to be a special holiday for the family as the couple had booked the holiday as their honeymoon. Instead, it was spoiled by gastric illness and unfortunately it will be remembered by the family for all the wrong reasons.”

If you have travelled to the Coral Sea Water World and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, or sustained an injury, we would like to hear from you.
