Family recovers compensation after illness at Three Corners St Georges Hotel, Egypt
Irwin Mitchell recovered compensation for a family of 3 who went on an all-inclusive holiday at the Three Corners St Georges Hotel in summer 2006. They all contracted unpleasant gastric illness as a result of a breakdown in food hygiene procedures, which ruined their holiday.
One of them was later diagnosed with Giardia, which is a notifiable disease. Both parents were ill for several months after the holiday and medical experts concluded that the original gastrointestinal infections had caused them to develop mild post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Their son was fortunate enough to recover after 2 weeks.
Tour operator Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited, trading as the Panorama Holiday Group, admitted that they were at fault and settlement negotiations resulted in us recovering over £10,000 in compensation for our clients.
