Mitsis Norida Beach Hotel

Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by a British holidaymaker who was seriously ill following a visit to the Mitsis Norida Beach Hotel.

The British holidaymaker has been diagnosed as suffering from Legionnaires' disease following a stay at this hotel in May 2014. He sought medical treatment upon his return to home and had to be rushed to hospital. The holidaymaker spent a number of days in intensive care and is still suffering from the ongoing effects of the disease. The cause of the Legionnaires' is yet unknown.

Despite positive reviews, the holidaymaker reports that the water in his room was discoloured and brown on occasion.

The symptoms of Legionnaires' disease are similar to those of influenza such as a high temperature, fever, nausea, vomiting, persistent cough, muscle pains, chills, tiredness, headache, shortness of breath and chest pains. In a severe case, there may also be pneumonia, and occasionally diarrhoea and loss of appetite, as well as confusion.

If you have also suffered from symptoms relating to Legionnaires' disease or any illness whilst abroad on holiday, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim for your illness.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact Irwin Mitchell on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.
