Illness At The Houda Golf and Beach Club, Tunisia

Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by holidaymakers who have suffered illness during their stay at the Houda Golf and Beach Club, Skanes, Tunisia during August and September 2014. The guests suffered from gastric illness whilst on holiday and are still unwell after returning home. There were concerns that on occasions some of the food was not served at the correct temperatures.

Despite positive reviews, a holidaymaker who stayed at the hotel this summer described some of the food at the hotel as being “so bad” that “what you had for dinner was your breakfast the next morning”. Another holidaymaker stated they “got food poisoning” as did 15 other members of their party. Other holidaymakers report on occasion seeing files landing on the food and that on occasion the dining area was not as clean as it should have been. Some holidaymakers also cited concerns about the cleanliness of the swimming pool, and that the hotel “didn’t clean or empty the pool until late in the evening”.
