Emergency landing in the Dominican Republic

We acted for a group of 53 passengers on board flight AIH 54 to the Dominican Republic in a claim against the airline after the plane was not able to land at the scheduled airport.

The pilot advised passengers that he was going to try and land at another airport on the island but he did not know if he had sufficient fuel to reach it. Fortunately, the pilot was able to land at the second airport, and although  the vast majority of the passengers were not physically injured, they were psychologically distressed.

After negotiating with the airline, we succeeded in recovering the total sum of £79,500 in compensation for our clients for the loss of enjoyment of their holiday.
