£28,000 compensation after road traffic accident in France

Irwin Mitchell represented a lady from Canterbury in respect of the injuries she sustained following a road traffic accident on 25 May 2008 in France.

Our client was driving her vehicle in France when a vehicle, approaching in the opposite direction, left its side of the road and drove their vehicle into a head on collision with her vehicle.

As a result of the accident our client sustained multiple injuries including a severely displaced fracture of her right clavicle, 4 fractured ribs, a fracture to her scaphoid, soft tissue injuries to the left wrist, left knee, right elbow, neck and lower back. She also sustained a minor head injury with concussion, psychological trauma with travel anxiety, facial lacerations and widespread cuts, grazes and bruising.

Irwin Mitchell issued Court Proceedings in England against the French insurers of the vehicle at fault for the accident and successfully recovered £28,000 in compensation.
