Isle of Man road traffic accident

Our client was a motorcyclist who sustained injuries in a road traffic accident on 2 June 2007.

Our client was travelling with a group of motorcyclists in the Isle of Man when he was struck from behind. The motorcyclist behind suggested our client was at fault and initially sought to pursue a claim against our client’s insurers. The allegation was that our client lost control of his bike first, thereby causing the accident. This was resisted by our client and the other party abandoned his claim.

Our client suffered injuries to his ribs, neck, back and hand but fortunately made a full recovery within four months.  We were successful in obtaining £5,500 in settlement of his claim.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
